# Backuply

> Backuply is continuous backup and restore for BigCommerce and Ecwid stores. Each store object is versioned as it changes; merchants restore selected items from the Vault — not a nightly zip of the whole store.

## Overview
Backuply captures catalog, customer, page, and related objects through webhooks, a nightly reconcile, and merchant-triggered Backup Now crawls. Restore writes a selected version back through the platform API.

## Core capabilities
- Vault — searchable All Items library with filters (type, active/deleted, date range)
- Backup Now — full crawl on demand; unchanged items are hash-skipped; previous versions stay
- Named restore points — pin a Backup Now crawl (max 7 per store); pins are not purged with retention
- View Versions — compare live vs a selected version (SUMMARY or SOURCE CODE) and restore one item
- Advanced Restore — self-serve Automated categories as of a date; By Request types via support (up to 7 days)

## Supported platforms
- BigCommerce — embedded admin app; OAuth install; first snapshot on install
- Ecwid — Control Panel app; OAuth + native iframe; first snapshot on install

## Retention & trial
- 7-day free trial on every plan
- Trial retention: 7 days of version history
- Paid retention: 365 days
- Named restore points (max 7) are kept beyond retention
