Ecwid App

The Backuply Ecwid app embeds in your Control Panel. After install, the first full snapshot starts automatically. Use the Vault to search items, compare versions, run Backup Now, and restore.

Install the app

From Ecwid App Market

  1. In Ecwid, open Apps → App Market.
  2. Search for Backuply.
  3. Click Get / Install and approve the requested OAuth scopes.
  4. Open the app from My Apps.

On first launch, Backuply registers billing and starts a full snapshot. Store webhooks are configured on the app, not per store. You do not need an extra connect click.

Tip: Keep the app open until the Vault shows a completed last backup. Restore and export are disabled while a crawl is running.

Vault

Same Vault as BigCommerce: last backup, next nightly, Backup Now, named restore points n/7. Tabs: All Items, Advanced Restore, restore points.

  • Search Vault — product title, SKU, customer name/email, order number.
  • Filters — content type, Showing (Active / Deleted / both), optional date range.
  • Hover a row — View Versions.

Backup Now

Same rules as BigCommerce: crawl the live store now, record new/changed/deleted items, leave previous versions in place. One crawl at a time. Use it before a CSV import, before a restore, and after edits you are not sure were captured.

Button states: Backup Now, Backup in progress, Upgrade to Backup Now.

Named restore points

Optional pin after Backup Now. Hard cap of 7 pins per store. Failed crawls do not keep a pin. Retention purge does not delete pinned versions. The install crawl does not consume a pin slot.

View Versions

Compare live vs a selected version in SUMMARY or SOURCE CODE, then Restore to this version for restorable types. Orders and reviews are visible; restore is disabled in V1 (Ecwid has no create-review API).

Advanced Restore

Automated types are self-serve as of a date. By Request types (All Item Types, customers, orders, and similar) create a support request, up to 7 days.

Restore does not delete live items created after the selected date. It restores deleted items and updates items that changed.

What we back up

Restore in V1

  • Products (details, options, combinations, attributes, SEO, translations, related products, category assignments, gallery).
  • Categories, product types + attributes, customers + contacts, customer groups.
  • Discount coupons, promotions. Gift-card products restore as products.

Backup-only in V1

  • Orders. Product reviews (no create API). Abandoned carts.

Not a restore target

  • Instant Site pages, tiles, and themes.
  • Store profile (currency, languages, maintenance mode) as a restore target.
  • Shipping methods, payment options, staff, domains, stored payment instruments.

Plans & billing

Ecwid App Market billing is the primary path. Open Upgrade to compare tiers by product count. Trial is 7 days with 7-day retention. Paid keeps 365 days.
