Webhooks catch edits as they happen
A change event enqueues a job. We GET the live object, hash it, and store a version only if it changed.
Backuply continuously versions your catalog, customers, pages, and more. Restore a single item, a named restore point, or an Automated category — without downloading a zip.
Search All Items, filter by type, and open View Versions for any product, page, or customer.

Continuous backup for growing BigCommerce and Ecwid stores
How backup works
Each store object is an item. When it changes, we store a new version. Restore means writing that version back through the platform API.
A change event enqueues a job. We GET the live object, hash it, and store a version only if it changed.
Platforms miss inline edits and some thumbnail changes. Nightly list-vs-stored catches deletes and silent updates.
No extra connect click. The install crawl does not consume a named-pin slot.
Run a full crawl before a CSV import, theme publish, or restore. Optional: keep it as a named restore point.
View Versions for one item, Advanced Restore for Automated types, or restore a named pin. Orders are backup-only in V1.
Plug & Play
Install from the app marketplace. Backuply registers billing, starts the first full snapshot, and opens the Vault. No theme edits.
“Native CSV export is not an undo. After a bad import we restored the products that changed and left everything else alone.”
“Backup Now before we publish a theme is now a checklist item. The Vault keeps the previous catalog versions without a zip to download.”

Clear answers for merchants comparing Backuply with native CSV export and zip-style backup tools.
Backuply is continuous backup and restore for ecommerce stores. It versions catalog, customer, page, and related objects as they change, then lets you restore a selected version from the Vault — not a nightly zip of the whole store.
Backuply is available as embedded apps for BigCommerce and Ecwid. Each integration starts the first full snapshot on install and keeps versions current through webhooks and a nightly reconcile.
No. Each store object is an item with its own version history. Restore is three paths: a single item via View Versions, Automated categories as of a date, or a named restore point. You do not download one backup file.
Before a significant change (CSV import, bulk edit, theme publish), before a restore, and whenever you are unsure webhooks captured an edit. Backup Now crawls the live store now. It does not overwrite older versions.
After Backup Now you can pin that crawl as a named restore point (max 7 per store). Pins are not purged with retention, so a trial store with 7-day history can still keep important points.
Orders are backup-only in V1. You can view versions and compare JSON. Self-serve order restore is not available. All Item Types, customers, and orders under Advanced Restore are By Request (support, up to 7 days).
No. Advanced Restore restores deleted items and updates items that changed after the selected date. It does not delete live items created after that date, and it does not overwrite items that did not change.
Plans are priced by product count. Every plan includes a 7-day free trial with 7-day retention. Paid plans keep 365 days of history. Named restore points (max 7) are kept beyond retention.
No. Install the app from the marketplace. The first backup starts automatically. Search the Vault, compare versions, and restore from the admin — no theme files and no zip to manage.
